The Project
Help the client set up their first Amazon Brand Store and tell the brand story across several categories pages.
My Role
As a certified UX Designer in the office, I helped Bobrick and the internal team revamp their old digital product catalog to create a better user experience for its customers. I was the lead designer for this project, which was set up in different phases:
• Research: surfacing all data we had regarding the old product catalog to help us make decisions for the new one.
• Wireframing/ideating: with data in hand, we drafted wireframes based on the architecture.
• User test: we ran these wires in front of a group of architects to seek their opinion.
• Prototyping: after collecting data from user testing, we then went to this phase in which we established UI based on branding guidelines.
• User test/QA: new round of user test to make sure the focus group navigated the website.
• Deployment: after final adjustments, we deployed the final prototype to engineers for coding and then launch.

The whole project cannot be visualized here due to confidentiality. The final product is accessible on Bobrick's website.
Timeline
The project started in June 2023, and finalized in February 2024.
Personas and Target Audience
This product catalog is specifically designed for architects specifying products in their projects. Facility managers would come as the second group.

The new digital product catalog featured a hero area with three tabs that displayed overall information about the highlighted category.

New features in this product catalog include the filter area where users can browse for specificalities within a category, and the comparison tool which allows architects to compare three different products in the same category.

Once the user clicks compare, they get a pop-up on the same page with the three different products and key technical specifications for comparison.

Another new addition to this digital product catalog is the Spec Resources & Favorite page, accessible by clicking on the start in the top right corner. On this page, users can download resources such as BIM objects and sell sheets, and also keep their favorite products without creating an account. Storage was possible via IP detection.

The digital product catalog is fully responsible. However, research indicated that architects preferred to access the product page on desktop instead of mobile, which led us to pursue more functionalities on the big screen.
