The Project
Help the client set up their first Amazon Brand Store and tell the brand story across several categories pages.
My Role
As one of the certified UX Designers in office, I helped Bobrick and the internal team design the homepage and all categories pages to display a wide range of products. This was also my first brand store project since at that time I only had experience in designing and prototyping responsive websites.
Personas and Target Audience
Although we didn't have access to any research provided by the client, we set that as a main persona for this project would be:
• Facility Managers and contractors, men ranging from 35 to 60 years old, living in the United States but with different nationalities, looking for durable product solutions for washroom projects.
+ My Tasks in the Project
UX Design • Prototyping • Art Direction
+ Collaborators
Agency: Pipitone
Creative Direction: Scott Pipitone
Senior Content Strategist: Melanie Cox McCluskey
Art Director Collaborator: Kamron Rudisill
Project Manager: Sarah Moltz
Account Executive: Erin Sikora
Bobrick's Marketing Manager: Hope Tuttle
Implementation: Amplify Goods
Initial wireframes set for the project based on the creative brief. After that, we started defining design elements and prototypes for categories pages.
Development
After setting up the initial wireframes and presenting them to the client and its stakeholders, we realized that the brand store should tell the story of the brand along with its differential in the marketplace. That resulted in changes in the wireframes, those approved later down the road. We also considered first mobile since a lot facility managers and contractors are also utilizing the Amazon app when searching for products on the platform.
